Tailgaters Sports Bar and Grill faced the 2007 Super Bowl in a newly remodeled space formerly known as Checkers. The crowds that showed up to watch the game confirmed what most Daytona Beach natives already knew. Daytona was ready for a new sports bar and Tailgaters it the bill. The energy was high, the beer cold and the food was hot. And most importantly, everyone in the house had a clear view of the game on over forty high definition wall-mounted flat screens.
New owner Herve Rabeaux is showing an equal commitment to exceeding his client's expectations as he did in his previous life as owner of Harley- Davidson in La Rochelle, France. He is a restaurateur and entrepreneur with a commitment to quality. That pledge is evident in his newly designed menu. With a Cajun flair, Tailgaters offers Wings and Burgers as well as Filet Mignon and Lobster Bisque. Add the full liquor bar and you are guaranteed there is something for everyone in your party on the menu.
The staff at Tailgaters are equally committed. Manager and former featured bartender in BackStage Pass Magazine, Holly Gaylor has made a commitment to the excellence of Tailgaters for the past several years and comments that "Mr. Rabeaux treats his staff more then fair. We feel life Tailgaters is out family." A good attitude towards the establishment reflects in a wonderful experience for the patrons.
